I bought RollerCoaster Tycoon World on the day of release. Although the game is still in Early Access (like Beta) I have been having a lot of fun playing and making tutorial videos for YouTube.
On the strength of these videos, Atari approached me and asked if I would like to stream live on Twitch. I’d never streamed before and as Atari were hosting and moderating for me, I had quite a lot of viewers which was rather daunting. I know the game pretty well, but with so many people watching, commenting and even one who was trolling, my first broadcast was rushed and not that great.
Before my next show, I went back and completely redesigned my park, using the same layout as I’d done live. This new park looked so much better and I felt a lot more confident going into my second broadcast.
I’ve now decided to to do one “extra” video in-between streams to complete all the time-consuming theming, planting, landscaping etc which I can time-lapse and narrate over. I’m planning to keep one live and one extra video as one area of the park. So far I’ve completed the Main Street and now Western World and will next move on to my Jurassic Park island this Friday.
