Seven days to APOCALYPSE

The full trailer has now been released and the countdown to Apocalypse has begun.
When I started on this venture, I had no idea how I was going to pull it all off. With a budget of almost nothing, a green screen I had never used and an editing suite I was only just figuring out how to work, I wondered if this actually could be done.
I love sci-fi but I am always left with a feeling of déjà vu. Too many storylines are recycled in the sci-fi world and I had an idea that was totally fresh and different – but on an epic scale. To produce Apocalypse the way I wanted, I would need a couple of hundred, million pounds… So, I created the same world described and told by one man.
My background is in acting, writing and TV production; but always in a producer or director capacity. I have never used lighting, cameras or even been hands on with the editing before, but I am a fast learner. The story I had in my head was strong, and as the words flowed onto the page, I knew Apocalypse had to be made and seen.
Luckily I know a lot of talented people and was able to have some of them work on this project with me. James Butterfield is a professional make-up artist who was kind enough to give me the look I needed for every day of Sebastian’s diaries. David Browning is a graphic designer and has produced some visually stunning effects for the bunker. It certainly feels like you are watching something recorded in the future. I even have a very special woman voicing Matrix – the voice of the computer.
For the past two months, Apocalypse has been so rewarding, yet time consuming and at times frustrating. With no money for anything, I believe what we have achieved is pretty spectacular and I am extremely proud of the end product.
Apocalypse starts on Monday 1 September and will run every single day. This is the first time anything like this has been attempted for the web and I hope you enjoy tuning in every day and following Sebastian’s life. I have managed to keep the storyline under wraps from almost everyone. I obviously don’t want my ideas stolen but more than that, I didn’t want to ruin the surprise. The story is better told by Sebastian anyway!
The only way this will work is if you share each video with all everyone. There is no marketing budget, so the only way for this to go viral is by you. Each video only lasts around 2 minutes and the story unravels throughout each day. This is Sebastian’s video diary set in 2046 and although there will be things you don’t understand at the beginning – all will be explained.
